Dan Drehobl will be included as a character in EA Skate’s Skate 3. Always good to see the OGs get the respect they deserve.
When I was a kid, I remember my friend told me about Dan Drehobl and I heard his name as Dan Dreadful. I knew him as that for years, and was justifiably disappointed when I found out his real name. Not soon after that, I l came to know him as ‘Corpsy’.
Drehobl reminds me of the few things:
I suck at tranny.
Death lurks at every corner. If the cigarettes don’t get you, something else will.
Nicknames have made a few skaters’ careers. Alex Gall, for example. But you probably knew him as Trainwreck. The nickname was so epic that it basically pulled the wool over my eyes for a year and a half until I realized that, while good, Trainwreck was never that good. His style was also a bit questionable. Still, he is a relic of the sleeveless t, piss drunx era and carries that torch today with a new nickname: Bluto Blutarsky.
